Attending a Dallas Mavericks game may come back to haunt Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper.
By sitting courtside alongside Dallas Cowboys teammate CeeDee Lamb to celebrate the iconic Dirk Nowitzki at a Dallas Mavericks game on Wednesday night, wide receiver Amari Cooper could be in trouble with the NFL.
Because Cooper is an unvaccinated player, he could be fined $14,650 for blatantly violating the league’s health and safety protocols. He may have already missed time this year because of COVID, but the NFL prohibits an unvaccinated player from attending a sporting event if he is not seated in a separate section with no more than 10 people in his area. He also did not wear a mask.
Lamb was also maskless sitting courtside, but he is vaccinated. Teammate Micah Parsons, who is vaccinated, tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday while sitting courtside at a Mavericks game on Monday evening.

Look. Dallas needs to be careful heading into the NFC playoffs. The Cowboys may have won the NFC East, but there are no guarantees America’s Team will come out of Wild Card Weekend with a home victory. Anything short of an NFC Championship Game appearance should be viewed as a massive disappointment for this contending team. The Cowboys have to really focus in now.
While they could get waxed by the top-seeded Green Bay Packers at Lambeau, divisional round or NFC Championship, there have been moments this season where the Cowboys look like the best team in their conference. However, there are several reasons why this team has not played in a conference title bout since the Clinton Administration. Let’s hope COVID doesn’t ruin their dreams.
Cooper may be an immunicorn for the time being, but some of his teammates are not that lucky.
